I Am Me Inc. Connects with MNG Studios: Building Community, Culture & a New Chapter in Philadelphia

I Am Me Inc. is continuing to expand its reach, build meaningful partnerships, and connect with creatives who are making an impact in their communities. Our recent collaboration with MNG Studios and Marcus G represents another step toward that mission as we prepare to strengthen the I Am Me Inc. presence in Philadelphia.

The collaboration brought members of I Am Me Inc. together with Philadelphia’s creative community for Philly’s Most Wanted, a live Hip Hop showcase presented by Marcus G. The event was created to spotlight the artists, performers, and creative energy coming directly out of Philadelphia. With local talent, raw performances, networking, and plenty of Philly flavor, the night represented exactly what happens when music, culture, entrepreneurship, and community come together under one roof.

Marcus G to Spearhead I Am Me Inc. Philly

This collaboration is about more than one event.

As I Am Me Inc. continues its expansion beyond Delaware, Marcus G will be spearheading I Am Me Inc. Philly, helping the organization establish deeper connections within Philadelphia and identify opportunities to support, collaborate with, and amplify individuals doing meaningful work throughout the city.

The goal of I Am Me Inc. Philly is not simply to put our name in another city. We want to build relationships first.

Philadelphia has an incredible LGBTQ+ community as well as a powerful independent music, arts, entertainment, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial culture. Through Marcus G’s leadership and relationships within the city, I Am Me Inc. looks forward to creating new opportunities for community engagement, creative collaboration, visibility, and connection.

I Am Me Inc. Shows Up

Joining the celebration were I Am Me Inc. Founding Board Members Peirrce “Peach” McCoy, Angel Brown, and Latoya Baker, along with INBLK Subsidiary Board Member Tim Miles.

For our organization, showing up matters.

Community building cannot happen exclusively through meetings, social media posts, or conversations about what we plan to do. Sometimes building community means physically entering new spaces, introducing yourself, listening, supporting someone else's vision, and discovering how organizations and creatives can work together.

That is exactly what made this night special.

Reconnecting with Rasean “Kyng” Lopez and Meeting Philly's Talent

One of the memorable moments of the evening was running into Rasean “Kyng” Lopez, a recipient of the I Am Me Inc. Entertainment Award. Seeing someone previously recognized by our organization continuing to make moves within entertainment was a full-circle moment and another reminder of why celebrating and supporting independent artists and creatives matters.

We also had the opportunity to meet an impressive group of talented music artists, including Adelaide Elliot, Marjan tha Artist, Jalen Keith, Thee Gansta Queen, and Estara.

Each connection represented something bigger than exchanging names or taking pictures.

Independent artists are entrepreneurs. They are building brands, developing audiences, investing in their craft, creating content, performing, networking, and often financing their dreams while trying to find platforms willing to give emerging talent an opportunity.

Organizations like I Am Me Inc. can play a role in connecting those voices to broader audiences and opportunities.

Music Can Be a Bridge to Community

The night also reinforced something important about the future of I Am Me Inc.: community outreach does not always have to look traditional.

Sometimes outreach looks like a workshop.

Sometimes it looks like a community conversation.

And sometimes it looks like a microphone, a stage, a DJ, and a room filled with people supporting local talent.

Music has always had the ability to bring people from different backgrounds, identities, generations, and experiences together. Collaborating with organizations and platforms such as MNG Studios gives I Am Me Inc. another opportunity to meet people where they already are while introducing them to our mission.

As an LGBTQ+ and Allies organization, we believe creating inclusive community means building bridges rather than remaining inside one circle.

Delaware to Philly: The Mission Is Growing

I Am Me Inc. was founded with a commitment to creating spaces where LGBTQ+ people and our allies could connect, find resources, build community, and be authentically themselves. As the organization grows, we are looking beyond geographical boundaries and asking a bigger question:

How can we connect communities instead of simply creating separate ones?

I Am Me Inc. Philly represents part of that answer.

We want to collaborate with Philadelphia artists, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, advocates, businesses, community leaders, content creators, and organizations that believe in inclusion and understand the power of working together.

We are not entering Philadelphia believing we already know what Philadelphia needs. We want to connect with the people already doing the work, listen to their experiences, support existing efforts, and determine where I Am Me Inc. can contribute.

That is what real collaboration should look like.

A Memorable Night and the Beginning of Something Bigger

Philly’s Most Wanted was a memorable night, but for I Am Me Inc., it also felt like the beginning of a new chapter.

Thank you to Marcus G and MNG Studios for creating a space where Philadelphia talent could be seen, heard, celebrated, and connected. Thank you to every artist who stepped onto the stage and everyone we had the opportunity to meet throughout the evening.

To Rasean “Kyng” Lopez, Adelaide Elliot, Marjan tha Artist, Jalen Keith, Thee Gansta Queen, Estara, and the many other creatives continuing to put their work into the world: keep creating.

And Philadelphia, get ready.
