A Seat at the Table: I Am Me Corporate Plans Its Next Tea for February 2027
Updated: 2 hours ago

There is something powerful about being in a room where you are celebrated, your identity is respected, and your commitment to community has space to grow. I Am Me Corporate is planning its next Tea in Delaware for February 2027, with the event slated to take place after February 14. This gathering will be the first of many, creating opportunities for introductions, meaningful conversations, and connections that reach beyond the room.
We have two questions: Are you an organization supportive of the LGBTQ+ community? And are you BIPOC?
If those questions speak to you, we want you paying attention. We are bringing together people and organizations ready to show up, exchange ideas, and explore what we can build when BIPOC LGBTQ+ and Ally voices are included in the conversation.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the directors of the INBLK Subsidiary and I Am Me Philly, alongside the I Am Me Inc Board. It is a chance to get acquainted with the people helping move our mission forward, learn about our work, and discuss opportunities for connection and collaboration. Because knowing an organization’s name is one thing. Sitting down with its leadership and finding common ground brings a different kind of possibility.
And yes, we are coming with a love of People of Color that deserves its own seat at the table.
And yes, we are coming with a love of BIPOC communities that deserves its own seat at the table. Think Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Sojourner Truth: distinct voices whose legacies invite us to reflect on dignity, justice, courage, and the power of speaking for ourselves. Their contributions to the struggle for Black freedom offer inspiration as we make room for the distinct histories, experiences, and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color.
For us, celebrating BIPOC communities includes embracing BIPOC LGBTQ+ people. Our experiences, leadership, creativity, and contributions belong in the spaces where community relationships are built. This Tea is an invitation to bring that love into action through listening, showing up, and discovering where our efforts can meet.
Who Should Attend?
We want a room filled with people who value BIPOC communities, respect LGBTQ+ identities, and are ready to build meaningful relationships. That includes:
BIPOC therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals who provide affirming, culturally responsive support.
BIPOC business owners and entrepreneurs interested in networking, collaboration, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
LGBTQ+ organizations and supportive nonprofits looking to connect, share resources, and explore community partnerships.
Healthcare providers and wellness professionals committed to respectful, inclusive care.
Community leaders, advocates, and organizers working to strengthen opportunities for BIPOC LGBTQ+ people.
Educators, mentors, and youth-serving organizations helping create affirming spaces for the next generation.
Artists, creators, and media professionals who celebrate BIPOC voices and LGBTQ+ experiences.
Potential sponsors, donors, and community partners interested in investing in our mission and future programs.
Allies ready to listen, learn, and show up through meaningful support and action.
Whether you bring professional expertise, community resources, a business, or a willingness to contribute, we want to connect. Come ready to introduce yourself, learn about our leadership, and explore how we can pour into one another.
Stay tuned for personal invitations, the confirmed date, location, and additional event details. We are preparing for the first of many gatherings, and we look forward to welcoming people who see the value in building community together.
